Our dedicated internship program provides learning and career development opportunities for college-level students to gain real-world work experience and prepare for a potential professional career with GFT. We designed our internship program to provide our interns with opportunities to learn and grow while fostering long-lasting relationships. Our investment and commitment to providing a robust program involve a deep understanding, intentional preparation, and effective execution of each program component, which is why most of our interns convert to full-time employees.

Who can apply for GFT’s internship program?
Our internships are open to college students pursuing degrees in engineering, architecture, environmental science, construction management, and many other fields. We welcome applicants who are eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects.
What kind of work will I do as a GFT intern?
You’ll work on real projects that support our clients and communities, gaining hands-on experience alongside professionals who are leaders in their fields. Interns often assist with design, analysis, research, and project coordination tasks, depending on your area of study.

Are GFT internships paid, and do they offer academic credit?
Yes, all GFT internships are paid positions. Many schools also offer academic credit, and we’re happy to coordinate with your program advisor to ensure your internship meets the requirements.
Will I be hired full-time following my GFT internship?
Many of our interns transition into full-time roles after graduation. Our program is designed to develop future talent, and we often hire interns who demonstrate strong performance, curiosity, and a commitment to our values. Completing an internship with GFT is one of the best ways to launch a long-term career with us!

Emerging Talent Annual AEC Scholarships

Our Emerging Talent AEC Scholarships support sophomore or junior students enrolled in an ABET-accredited program in the U.S. with academic and leadership potential as they pursue careers in engineering (civil, environmental, electrical, structural, and mechanical), construction services, or architecture.
