GFT Acquires Flaherty Engineering
Strengthens Construction Management Services in California’s Infrastructure Market
(Camp Hill, Pa.) GFT, a leading engineering and infrastructure solutions provider, has acquired Flaherty Engineering, Inc. (the “Company”), marking the firm’s second acquisition in six months.
“Flaherty Engineering is a well-respected provider of construction management services across the Sacramento region and in the Central Valley that shares our client-first mentality,” said Bob Scaer, PE, GFT CEO. “Our clients will benefit from the decades of construction and transportation experience that the highly skilled Flaherty team brings.”
Led by founder Keith Flaherty, who will serve as Sacramento area manager at GFT, the Company provides added depth for serving public agencies, private sector partners, and water resources clients in Northern California. Known for expertise in construction management, complex project delivery, scheduling, and claims and dispute resolution, Flaherty Engineering shares GFT’s commitment to providing excellent service to clients and career growth opportunities for employees.
GFT continues to build upon its 109-year history of delivering excellence to clients, now bolstered by the backing of OceanSound Partners. This acquisition is the latest example of a focused, accelerated expansion and investment into target markets, providing enhanced services to local and state agencies throughout California. GFT is currently #26 on Engineering News-Record’s Top Design Firms list.
“I’m excited to continue our work with GFT – I’ve partnered closely with members of their team for years, so I know firsthand the high quality of work and collaborative culture. We’ll be able to leverage GFT’s resources to deepen our client services and deliver greater value together,” said Flaherty.
