In The News: GFT Partners with ITS America on AI in Transportation Course

GFT is deepening our partnership with ITS America through the development of “Artificial Intelligence in Transportation,” a new online course offered via the ITS America Academy. Announced at the 31st ITS World Congress, the self-paced training is designed for planners, engineers, data analysts, policymakers, and ITS program managers across public agencies, private industry, and academia. 

Participants will demystify artificial intelligence (AI) by defining core concepts and milestones, exploring practical applications, and reviewing real-world use cases. Topics range from predictive maintenance and traffic signal optimization to autonomous vehicles and real-time traveler information. Learners will also examine ethics, policy, and user perspectives to better identify AI applications that support safety standards, policy goals, and public trust.
