High-Availability Data Center and Security Operations Control Center Design
Client: Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA)
Our Role: Lead Design and Engineering Consultant

GFT supported WMATA in transforming an existing industrial campus into a secure, resilient operations hub anchored by a high-availability data center and mission-critical control environment. The project required integrating modern digital infrastructure within repurposed facilities while maintaining uninterrupted support for transit operations and public safety. GFT’s role focused on enabling reliable, scalable systems that could support real-time monitoring, communications, and data processing across the network. By aligning power, cooling, and connectivity strategies with operational demands, the team helped position the campus as a robust backbone for security and transit operations, reinforcing system-wide resilience and long-term adaptability.
